Prepare for your donor meeting in advance by marking each spot for gifts received, and be ready with a donation amount that you’d like to request from the donor. Asking for a specific amount is important for those larger gifts. E.g., “As you can see, we’ve received these gift amounts so far. We were wondering if you’d like to join us at this level.”
