- How can my organization partner with Unseen?

Click here to sign up for our interest list. When you sign up, you'll receive an email confirming that you've joined our interest list. You'll be notified when we're able to start the next round of applications.

- Can I pay Unseen to produce products for me, even if I'm not a partner?

Thank you for asking! We’re honored. We’re a capacity-building organization, funded by donors, to specifically accelerate the work of Unseen partners. As a result, we aren’t able to take on projects for organizations who aren’t partnered with us.

- Is partnership with Unseen free?

Yes. We believe in your work so much that we raise funds, just like you, to be able to provide products and services at no cost to our partners. In turn, we ask that partners help by reporting back stories of success and financial growth so we can share these with our donors. In rare cases where there are some financial costs, they will be clearly communicated before the start of any project.

- What are the costs of Unseen's products and services?

Almost all of our products and services are free. Unseen’s services are always free, but products that require a third party subscription with ongoing costs (i.e. annual/monthly website hosting, domains, advanced MailChimp accounts) will need to be covered by you, our partner. - What is partnership with Unseen?

Partnership with Unseen centers around building compelling marketing tools to help you fundraise effectively, so you can grow your work and assist more people. We reserve our services specifically for accepted Unseen Partners. Together, with our partners, we select helpful Unseen products and produce them one after the other. We start with smaller projects and progress toward large projects depending on your needs and our resources.

- How does printing and shipping work?

Unseen offers no-cost printing and shipping on select products. We pay for printing and shipping from a wholesale printing company, and raise funds to provide the service at no cost to our partners.

Printing quantity and specifics vary by product. All print cards are printed on high quality cardstock (16pt) with matte, gloss, or custom finish, based on the project's design.

No-cost reprinting is also available for products designed through Unseen.

- Who should I reach out to with questions?

If you’re a current Unseen partner, please reach out to your partnership manager. If you're not currently an Unseen partner, or unsure of who your partnership manager is, email partner@weareunseen.org.

- What are the requirements of partnership?

Partnering with Unseen consists of several requirements. These requirements allow us to understand the impact that we have on our partners, and communicate that impact to our donors. Main requirements include:

  • Participation in our Annual Partnership Report.
  • Good communication while completing projects.
  • Keeping us updated on changes to your legal status or organization's leadership.

Questions about Freelancing

- How will payments be sent?

Electronic payments are made through billpay.com. Depending on the size of the project, we may pay a deposit up front, and the remaining amount upon completion. You can expect to receive your deposit within a few business days after signing your Project Scope and final payment within a few business days of project completion. If you have any questions about payment, please contact us.

- How much does Unseen pay?

Unseen typically pays on a per-project basis. We offer competitive pay on projects, while providing client support that can save you time. We have set rates for the projects we do most frequently and payment guidelines for the rest. We'll handle all payment conversations upfront so you'll know what to expect before you start.

- How can I apply to freelance with Unseen?

We review all applications quarterly and will get back to you once we've reviewed yours. This may take up to 3 months, depending on when you apply. Our quarterly reviews are in January, April, July, and October.

- How is Unseen funded?

Unseen is a nonprofit 501(c)(3). Every dollar of our operating budget is donated by people who believe our work is valuable and making a difference in accelerating the fight against human trafficking and the growth of our partners.
